I see Stars !!

Hello , hope you all having a great summer so far !!!

I don't know if I mentioned this on my last post , but I really LOVE this kit. I have always been a fan of star shapes  ( in fact I have a hard time creating layouts without them ) , and this kit has so many of them...LOVE !!

For this layout I decided to alter the large star, first I trimmed the outer edge so it would fit better on the 12x12 cardstock, then I cut the inner portion of it and used it as a template to cut a yellow star from cardstock and a slightly smaller one of the Jillibean Soup paper (from the paper extra). All of the star shapes were then layered as showed . I used pop dots on the last layer .

To note that a 1/2" circle punch is perfect to cut out some of the small stars on this paper. I punched out a few and superimposed them with pop dots. The small banners were created with small stripes of the "Liberty" paper.  I also hand cut a few stars and adhered them to black cardstock. The mini alphas are from my stash.

Here I used one of the epoxy buttons as a circle accent. The tags (3),alphas and twine are also from my stash.

I had a great time making this one...so many stars !!!

Here I go again....more Disney photos !!! These papers are just perfect for these fun shots of our trip last May !!! I started with plain kraft cardstock as a base for this layout and added a few more banners to mimic the wooden "hello" tag in the kit. I also used the epoxy buttons as circle accents (the larger ones are perfect for this ).

I added some stars here and there mostly to cover up some of the splats of Glimmer Mist I didn't like :)

There you have it, a few more ideas for this wonderful kit !!

I'll be back in a few weeks with 2 more layouts for you.
