pockets and hearts....

The February is just so beautiful and there are so many fun elements and papers, but the very first things that caught my eyes were the cute pockets and all the pretty hearts! They reminded me of some very special Valentines we had made last year for the residents at a local nursing home. This is a tradition the girls and I have... to create Valentines and spend "coffee hour" just visiting and handing them out. It is such a meaningful time for all of us and really adds "heart" to what can become another time to want something for yourself....

I filled one of those pockets up with heart die cuts and hearts cut from the patterned paper... cute, huh?

and since I was already cutting up hearts I wanted to make a little card for my sweet husband since this week is our "dating" anniversary.....

Love all the white (red, in this case) space in both your layout and card.  Gives a bit of breathing room and allows the focus to be on the elements.  The black and red color palette is perfect!  Very creative to fill up that pocket with love!!
